Namaste Academy Students Shine at the 19th International Okhinwa Goje-Ryu Ipah City Karate Open Championship 2023 in Malaysia

Ipah City, Malaysia - The 19th International Okhinwa Goje-Ryu Ipah City Karate Open Championship 2023, organized by the Okhinwa Goje-Ryu Ipah Karate Do Federation Malaysia, concluded on May 14th after three days of intense competition. This prestigious event attracted participants from Nepal, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka, all vying for the coveted titles. Among the contenders, students from Namaste Academy, Rupandehi, Nepal, showcased their exceptional skills and emerged victorious, making their school and country proud.

A total of 10 participants represented Nepal in the championship, with an impressive eight of them hailing from Namaste Academy. Known for its premium Cambridge School Pathway program, Namaste Academy has established itself as a leading institution in Rupandehi, Lumbini province, focusing on holistic education and physical development.

The students from Namaste Academy excelled in their respective categories, with five of them earning Gold medals. Prasidhi Sharma, Dev Kumar Shah, Pracesh Shahi, Aaron Serchan, and Ridesh Basyal displayed exceptional skill, precision, and determination throughout their matches, securing top honors.

Additionally, Aakriti Kandel demonstrated her prowess, earning a Silver medal, while Sanyam Kandel and Vaisanvi Verma showcased their talent and claimed Bronze medals, further enhancing the school's achievements.

MD. Ali, the dedicated karate teacher at Namaste Academy, expressed his pride in his students' accomplishments. He attributed their success to the school's holistic approach and comprehensive guidelines, which prioritize physical fitness alongside academic excellence. MD. Ali emphasized his role as a mentor and his commitment to training students who can compete and excel on both national and international platforms. He commended his students for their hard work, dedication, and eagerness to learn new techniques, which played a crucial role in their outstanding performance at the international championship.

Jigme Sherpa, the esteemed principal of Namaste Academy, applauded the students' remarkable achievements. He underscored the school's clear-cut plan to develop students in a well-rounded manner, not only academically but also physically. Sherpa emphasized the importance of nurturing students' physical fitness, which complements their academic growth and enables them to excel in various sports and extracurricular activities.

The success of Namaste Academy's students garnered positive feedback from the Board Directors, Mr. Bisnu Bhusal and Mr. Dilli Narayan Pandey. They expressed their delight in witnessing their long-standing dream of seeing Namaste Academy students earn international medals and represent their country come true. They drew parallels to the recent outstanding results achieved by the academy in the BLE examination, conducted by the education department of Tilotama Municipality, where Namaste Academy scored the highest among all participating schools.

Mahendra Raj Kandel, a Board Director of Namaste Academy and the Executive Director of the British College Kathmandu, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the school principal and the entire team for their remarkable achievements. He expressed his optimism for the academy's continued success and hoped to witness similar accomplishments in the future.
