Butwal, Rupandehi: In a generous gesture, students of Namaste Academy Rupandehi, the first Cambridge University school pathway program partner outside the Kathmandu valley, donated 10,000 Nepalese Rupees towards stationery items for underprivileged students in Upper Dolpa.

Namaste Academy, operating under the British college/BEG, aims to elevate the schooling standards to meet global benchmarks by following the British schooling education system. As part of this commitment, the school organized a grand event named "Creative Festival Season-2" recently within the school premises. Students from Playgroup to Grade 12 showcased their talents and entrepreneurial activities, generating a sum of 10,000 NRS.

In line with Corporate Social Responsibility, the School Management, with the consent of the students, decided to channel this amount towards a charitable cause. The chosen initiative was to support the education of underprivileged students in Dolpa by providing funds for their day-to-day study materials.

A formal donation ceremony was held at the British College, Thapathali, Kathmandu. Mr. Milan Sardar, Executive Representative of HDI Dolpa, was invited to receive the donation. The amount was handed over jointly by Mr. Arun Kumar Kandel, Head of the Schools at The British College, Kathmandu, and Mr. Vijay Karki, Coordinator and Senior Science Teacher of Namaste Academy.

Expressing gratitude, Milan Sardar thanked the students and the entire team of Namaste Academy for their philanthropic efforts. He also seized the opportunity to request to Arun kumar kandel  the possibility of offering a need-based scholarship scheme to his students pursuing GCE A Level in the Cambridge University program at The British College, Kathmandu.

This charitable initiative not only demonstrates the commitment of Namaste Academy to global educational standards but also highlights the collaborative efforts to support the education of the less privileged in remote regions.
